Greetings from Chalet Margarete in the Black Forest

Chalet Margarete, a detached, cosy and authentic Black Forest log cabin , invites you for a relaxing and recreational holiday in the village resort of Seewald/Besenfeld in the Northern Black Forest.

On a nice day you will find peace and tranquillity on a southwest facing patio amongst green surrounding and sheltered by an awning; on a second east-facing patio you may have breakfast in the morning sun. A 587 qm lawn surrounds the chalet and is covered with mature trees and shrubs. A sandpit and swing are available for your children and the fenced-in plot provides a child and dog-friendly environment.
The 67 qm living space is available for use all year round and consists of 3 rooms with Laminat flooring, a kitchen with PVC floor, and a tiled bath and hallway.
The open plan living and dining area provides a comfortable ambience via a real leather satee with 2 matchings armchairs as well as a dining area with a traditional farm house corner bench and extendable table. Roof lights in the living and sleeping quarters provide additional light.
For a good night sleep you will find one master bedroom and one further bedroom with two separate beds (80x190 cm). A high chair and a cot are also available for the very young guests.
The fitted kitchen contains a ceramic hob with separate electric oven, a dishwasher, refrigerator with deep freeze compartment - everything is equipped for self-catering purposes.
The bathroom contains a shower, a wash basin, toilet and a small bathroom cabinet.
A gas-fuelled traditional farmhouse tiled stove provides cosy warmth throughout the house . An electric heater may be used to boost the temperature if required.
The chalet offers telephone (landline), radio and a TV set with satellite connection. A garage is provided in 1 min. walking distance from the house.
The surroundings offer a variety of opportunities for leisure and entertainment.
Wellness opportunities may be found in the Spas of Bad Wildbad (25 km) and Baden-Baden (39 km) as well as in the „Panorama-Bad“ in nearby Freudenstadt (17 km). You may also want to undertake water sports, such as rowing and swimming at the Nagoldtalsee near Erzgrube (8 km), or play tennis at the Hotel "Oberwiesenhof" in Besenfeld, go shopping in Freudenstadt around the world-famous market square, hiking around the Blackforest Ridge near Kniebis (26 km), take your family to the 'barefootpark' in Pfalzgrafenweiler (20 km) oder the giant slide im Poppeltal (4 km). There are many more rambling and daytrip opportunities available during the summer and also many skisport activities in the winter including several cross country trails, downhill slopes or ice skating opportunities on the artificial icerink in Baiersbronn (12 km).

We welcome pets, with an additional cleaning charge of 5,00€ per animal.

Minimum booking period from November – März: 4 nights
Minimum booking period over Christmas and New Years Eve: 7 Nights.

Additional services and costs:
Cleaning: one-off charge of 24,00€ (obligatory)
Bedding: one-off charge 6,00€ per person (optional)
Towels: one off charge 0,50€ per item (optional)

Mode of payment:
Deposit of 100,00 € at contract agreement
On arrival remainder in cash
