Our versatile, child-friendly organic farm (Demeter-certified) is situated at an elevation of 700 meters in a quiet location in Sumpfohren. It is 15 km from Switzerland and 25 km from Lake Constance, at the foot of the Fürstenberg, where you can enjoy an Alpine panorama from the Black Forest at an elevation of approximately 1,000 meters. We have been actively farming here for over 250 years.
Our vacation apartments offer an ideal starting point for exploring the Black Forest and the region’s many attractions.
Our pony camp is a great opportunity for children ages 6–10 to explore the world of horses in depth, both in theory and in practice.
The children get up close and personal with the ponies and learn a lot of new things about these animals. While grooming the ponies, we clean them and establish contact with them. We learn about the different parts of their bodies and their functions. In the training arena, the round pen, the children learn how to lead a pony. Afterward, the children ride the ponies.
While working together in the stable, the children learn about the tasks involved in horse care. Visiting the other animals on our farm rounds out the experience. We’ll finish the day by cooking and eating together.
