A wide range of slopes for every requirement
The Muggenbrunn ski area has a total of eight pistes with varying degrees of difficulty, which are accessed by six ski lifts. At an altitude of between 980 and 1243 meters, the slopes extend over a total length of 5 kilometers. The slopes at the Wasen ski lift are particularly suitable for beginners and families. Here you will not only find a short practice lift, but also a 500-metre-long T-bar lift with an access aid.
Advanced skiers will get their money's worth on the Franzosenberg with its FIS course and on the Winkel ski lift. The sunny slope at Winkel also offers an impressive panoramic view. Freeriders will find ideal conditions for deep-snow descents at the Köpfle platter lift.
Special attractions and offers
Night skiing at the Wasen ski lift is a highlight at the Muggenbrunn ski center. On Wednesdays to Fridays, the floodlights are switched on from 17:00 to 21:30 so that ski enthusiasts can also enjoy the slopes in the evening. A 125-metre-long magic carpet is available for beginners and children at Wasen.
The ski area is part of the Feldberg lift network, which gives guests the opportunity to use eight different ski areas in the Black Forest with a single ski pass.
Arrival and infrastructure
Getting to Muggenbrunn is easy both by car and by public transport. From Freiburg, the route leads via Kirchzarten and Oberried or alternatively via Schauinsland to Notschrei. Free parking spaces are available for car drivers.
By public transport, the ski area can be reached hourly by bus from Kirchzarten via Muggenbrunn to Todtnau, with good connections to the train service to and from Freiburg.
