Technical details and accessibility
The Sommerbergbahn was completely renovated in 2011 and is now one of the most modern cable cars in Germany. It covers a height difference of 330 meters and takes passengers from the center of Bad Wildbad (420 m) to the Sommerberg (750 m) in less than 10 minutes. A special feature of the cable car is its complete accessibility. Both the valley and mountain stations are equipped with flexible ramps, and there is an elevator in the mountain station.
Travel times and prices
The Sommerbergbahn runs daily at half-hourly intervals, always at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour. The operating times are generally from 08:45 to 20:15. Prices for a one-way trip start at €5.50 for adults and €3.50 for children aged 6 to 14. Families and groups can benefit from special rates, and holders of certain guest cards or tickets receive discounts.
