'The Tall One' is the only remaining tower of the medieval town fortifications. Formerly it was the home of the town watchmen and also served as a prison.
In its interior it hosts a museum, which provides detailed information on the history of the old town fortifications and life in past times. During the summer months you may climb the numerous steps leading up to the top of the tower - past the still existing prison cells until you reach the former home of the watchman from which you are rewarded with a magnificent view of the town.
